45-Minute Provo Arrival Guarantee | Vault Mold Removal

When the guarantee applies: the 45-minute arrival guarantee covers emergency calls answered Monday–Saturday, 8 AM–5 PM, for addresses inside Provo city limits. The clock starts when we answer, and if we arrive late, your emergency inspection is free. Outside those hours the Vault crew still answers live, 24/7, at (385) 250-2825, but the 45-minute guarantee does not apply.

Elsewhere in the service area

Orem, Springville, Vineyard, Lindon and Mapleton are typically under 60 minutes from dispatch, but we do not publish a hard guarantee outside Provo city limits because drive time depends on the specific neighborhood and conditions.

Why we can promise this

Our office at 1169 S 760 W, Provo, UT 84601 is a staffed shop and warehouse — not a virtual address. The on-call technician dispatches from this address, with trucks and equipment loaded and ready. Every call is logged with a timestamp; your work order prints the call time and the arrival time.

Why 45 minutes — the damage math

Water losses escalate on a predictable timeline. The IICRC S500 standard sorts intrusions by Category (contamination level) and Class (rate of absorption × square footage affected). Delay moves losses up a Class — and often up a Category — turning a cheap restoration into an expensive demolition.

0–15 min
Water migrates by gravity and capillary action; carpet pad and paper-faced drywall start absorbing. Cat 1 (clean water); Class 1–2 typical.
15–60 min
Hardwood begins cupping. Particleboard swells. Wet insulation loses R-value. Still Cat 1 if source is clean, but affected SF grows the Class.
1–24 hours
Microbial growth begins on cellulose at Utah County’s typical indoor humidity (30–50% RH). Standing water may degrade to Cat 2.
24–72 hours
Visible mold possible. Hardwood may be unsalvageable. Cat 2 may degrade to Cat 3 if organic contamination enters. Porous materials typically removed, not restored.

What 45 minutes buys you

A Provo arrival inside 45 minutes keeps the vast majority of losses inside the Cat 1 / Class 1–2 window — the cheapest and least invasive to restore. By the two-hour mark the restoration cost curve starts steepening sharply. By the 24-hour mark reconstruction scope expands by 30–50%.

What our dispatch logs look like

Every emergency call to Vault produces a timestamped log entry. Those entries ride on the work order and are available to you, your adjuster, and your mortgage lender if a loss gets escalated.

What happens when multiple emergencies hit at the same time

During the biggest January cold snaps and spring snowmelt windows, the Provo call volume can stack five or six emergencies into a single hour. Vault’s protocol:

  • Second truck dispatches from the same office. Two full crews, loaded, with duplicate equipment sets.
  • Triage by category. Category 3 (sewage) and ongoing flow emergencies get priority over standing-water Category 1 losses.
  • Live update to the caller. If a 45-minute Provo arrival isn’t going to happen, the dispatcher calls back inside 10 minutes with an honest ETA, before you commit to waiting.
  • Declared storm exclusion. When the Utah County Emergency Operations Center declares a weather event or utility-related emergency, the 45-minute guarantee pauses and we work the queue as fast as we can — this is spelled out in the terms above.

Our serving zone, in plain terms

The 45-minute guarantee (Monday–Saturday, 8 AM–5 PM) covers Provo city limits — ZIPs 84601, 84604, 84606. Outside Provo we work hard to stay under 60 minutes, but publish no guarantee because drive time depends on the specific neighborhood and conditions:

  • Orem — 15–30 minutes typical from Provo.
  • Springville — 15–25 minutes typical.
  • Vineyard — 15–30 minutes typical.
  • Lindon — 15–25 minutes typical.
  • Mapleton — 15–25 minutes typical.

Guarantee questions

What time of day does this apply?

24 hours a day, every day of the year, including holidays.

Does the guarantee pause for weather?

Only in a declared storm or utility emergency named by local authorities. In an ordinary Utah snowstorm the clock keeps running.

What exactly do I get if you miss?

Your first on-site visit is free — moisture mapping, IICRC Category + Class determination, and a documented scope. You can take that documentation to any contractor; there is no obligation to proceed with Vault.

How do I verify my arrival time was logged correctly?

Ask for the dispatch log entries on your work order. The technician will show them at close-out; a PDF copy is emailed afterward.

What to do while you wait

These steps are safe for most homeowners and limit the damage until the Vault crew gets there.

  1. Stop the water. Close the fixture’s shut-off valve, or the main water shut-off if you can’t find the source. In most Utah County homes the main is in the basement or utility room, where the line enters the house.
  2. Make it safe. If water is near outlets, cords or the electrical panel, don’t walk through it. Turn off power to the affected area only if you can reach the breaker while standing somewhere dry.
  3. Photograph everything. Take wide shots and close-ups of the water, the source and damaged belongings before anything is moved. Your insurance carrier will want them.
  4. Move what you can. Lift rugs, electronics, documents and furniture off wet floors. Put foil or wood blocks under furniture legs that can’t be moved.
  5. Leave the rest to us. Don’t run a household vacuum on water, and don’t start tearing out drywall or carpet. Moisture readings taken before removal help establish the scope for your claim.
If it’s sewage: keep children and pets away, don’t touch the water or anything it soaked, and don’t try to clean it up. Sewage is IICRC Category 3 and needs protective equipment.
