Water Damage Restoration in Indian Hills, Provo
Windows can leak even when the glass and frame are fine. If the flashing around the window has deteriorated, wind-driven rain gets behind the siding and into the wall. Vault handled exactly this in an Indian Hills bedroom in April 2026.
Vault Mold Removal works out of a staffed office, shop and warehouse at 1169 S 760 W in Provo. Indian Hills is inside Provo city limits, so it’s covered by our 45-minute arrival guarantee (Monday–Saturday, 8 AM–5 PM): if we’re late, your emergency inspection is free. Call (385) 250-2825 any hour. The Vault crew answers, not a call center.

Window flashing leaks and wind-driven rain
Flashing is the waterproof layer that directs water around and away from a window opening. When it fails, rain blown against the wall finds its way into the framing below the window, then into the insulation, drywall and carpet.
- Signs to look for: stains or peeling paint below a window corner, a damp spot on the carpet under the window after a storm, or a musty smell in that room.
- It often only leaks in certain storms. Rain that comes straight down may not get in, while rain driven by wind from one direction does. That makes these leaks easy to miss.
- Wet insulation inside the wall has to come out. It holds water against the framing. Removing it, with the wet drywall, lets the wall cavity dry.
- Moisture monitoring confirms it’s dry. Readings are taken until the framing is back to normal before the wall is closed up, and the flashing should be repaired before reconstruction.
If it happens in your Indian Hills home
- Stop the water at the fixture’s shut-off valve, or at the main if you can’t find the source.
- Stay safe. Keep away from water near outlets, cords or the electrical panel, and from any ceiling that’s sagging.
- Photograph everything before you move anything, for your insurance claim.
- Move belongings off wet floors, and leave the carpet and drywall in place so moisture readings can be taken first.
- Call (385) 250-2825. We log the time we answer and the time we arrive on your work order.
